Biography

A player with plenty of potential, midcourter Parris Petera makes the move to the Pulse for 2024 after gaining her first full contract at the elite level with the Tactix in 2023. An accomplished NNL player with Mainland, Petera got an early introduction to the top flight during a Covid-impacted 2022 season. Moving from Hawke’s Bay to take up a sports scholarship at the University of Canterbury, Petera has outstanding ball skills, flair and feeding accuracy while showing a defining level of maturity when making several cameo appearances for the Tactix in 2022. With limited opportunities last season, Petera is welcoming the return to her home Zone and playing for the team she admired so much as a young netballer. A versatile player, Petera will add variety to the Pulse midcourt. She has previously played for the New Zealand Secondary Schools Māori netball team.
