Player report after Round 1 23 Mar 2010

Kia ora fellow Pulseys! Amo checking in with you all for a quick report of the first round of the ANZ champs.

The 48-54 loss was a very disappointing result for us as the team has been buzzing in the lead up to our opening match in Christchurch. After a long build up and a great pre season, confidence and expectations were high. Things were looking good after a tight first half with dazzling takes at the back by Ama and turnover being converted well by Jane and Paula. Unfortunately though we were hit hard by the third quarter blues. After digging ourselves into a huge hole we managed to recover well stunning the Tactix with a massive quarter winning 20-11. Not good enough to take the game but a positive sign that we are capable and do have the goods.

With a short turn around to our first home game on Saturday at Te Rauparaha Arena, we’re all donning our skins and taking in the water so we’re in top shape to take on the Mystics with a fabulous home win! Cant wait to see you all there at 2pm wearing yellow and cheering your lungs out! Thats all from me for now, thanks for all the support and see you all on Saturday!

Over and out........

Te Amo Amaru-Tibble
