Our Silver Ferns (Paula Griffin, Camilla Lees and Katrina Grant) arrived back from touring the Gold Coast and joined the team for what was a great welcome. 

Thanks to Mayor Jenny Brash and families and friends for joining us at this event. It was an exciting induction for our overseas players, and an excellent way to start the season.

English player Ama Agbeze arrived in New Zealand early last week and spent the week adjusting to the beautiful Wellington weather! Aussie player, Jane Altschwager arrived in early January in Wellington and has started to settle into the new environment. 

Our two new regional players to the Pulse, Alanah Cassidy and Daya Pritchard, showed great form on the court at the practice session against the Wellington men’s team on Sunday 31 January. They both got a good run in a range of positions and demonstrated a real hunger on the court.

Pulse players from 2009 have come back to the side looking fit and relaxed and rearing to go.

As part of a high performance build up to the ANZ Championship season, the Pulse team is heading to two pre-season tournaments. The first is the Queenstown tournament from 19 -21 February and the second is tournament is in Sydney from 5 – 7 March where players get to try out their form against a number of Aussie sides.
