Lyn Hornby has won a massive amount of prizes just for entering in the Taranaki Daily News and Haier Pulse competition that finished on the 10th of May.
Lyn walked away with a Haier French Door refridgerator, a double pass to the Pulse v Tactix game (which they won), a night for two at the Duxton Hotel plus buffet breakfast, a bottle of bubbly and box of chocolates on arrival, and finally a dinner for two at The Grill restaurant in Wellington!
A friend who preferred to remain unknown wrote into Pulse after Lyn had won the prize and had the following to say.
"I am just writing regarding a recent competition that was held by the 'Pulse' sponsers. The competition was won by a good friend of mine, Lyn Hornby. Lyn and her husband had the most wonderful weekend in Wellington thanks to this promotion, the highlight being the Pulse game on Saturday.
I just wanted to let you know that the competition could not have been won by a more deserving winner than Lyn. Lyn has a real love of netball. In her younger years she played netball at a top provincial level and has spent many years successfully coaching school teams. Apart from that she is an incredibly hard worker and an amazingly lovely lady. It is never a bother for her to do anything for anyone, always putting herself last.
I just want to say a huge 'thank you' to all the sponsers for the fabulous prizes she won. (Fortunately she has a son who is a builder and will alter her kitchen to make room for the fantastic fridge!!)
A good friend"
Great to hear that the prize went to such a worthy winner. Congratulations again Lyn and we hope that the kitchen alterations turn out well!
