Haier
Haier Pulse players take to the regions 05 May 2010

Tasman, Western, Eastern and Wellington Region were visited by members of the Haier Pulse team over the weekend and were taken through some skills sessions, warm up routines and positional plays. Locals took full advantage of the players visiting them and asked all sorts of questions and had everything they could signed - including shoes and bellies!

Jane Altschwager and Katrina Grant were in Blenheim for the Saturday and Sunday.

Daya Pritchard and Cushla Lichtwark were in Nelson on the Saturday and then joined Jane Altschwager and Katrina Grant in Blenheim on the Sunday.

Paula Griffin and Ngarama Milner-Olsen travelled up the road to Lower Hutt and Bessie Manu and  Millie Lees headed to Masterton.

Alanah Cassidy, Jamilah Gupwell, Te Amo Amaru Tibble and head coach Yvette Mclausland-Durie visited Palmerston North, Hawera, New Plymouth, Wanganui and Levin over the two days.

Jane Altschwager, captain of the Haier Pulse team says, "Thank you so much to all the regions for having us and looking after us whilst we were there. We all had a great time and thank you very much for your on-going support of the team. We really appreciate it and hope to see you again soon."

The girls are refreshed and ready to attack the second half of the season after some disappointing on-court performances in the first half. They have been training extremely hard over the last two weeks and can't wait to play against the Magic this Saturday in Roturua.

Vice Captain Katrina Grant is still sidelined with a foot injury for this macth but is hopeful she will be back into training next week and will be assesed constantly to ensure the foot is reacting well to the impact. Pulse have brought in replacement player Rachel Rasmussen to help cover the defence end for the next week or so.

Good luck to the Haier Pulse team.
