In 2019 Netball Central Zone’s (NCZ) performance vision to become the pre-eminent netball zone in the country was reached when we won both the Beko and ANZ Premiership. Looking ahead to 2024, the goal remains.  With the retirement of our outstanding current coach at the end of the 2023 campaign, we are now seeking a new Head Coach to lead us through the new challenges that await us in the future.

Opportunities to coach an ANZ Premiership team are rare.   This is an enormously exciting role to work with some of the best netballers in the world and to make your unique contribution to the ongoing legacy of excellence with the best netball team in the country.

The successful applicant will lead, develop and implement a world class netball programme capable of preparing the Pulse for consistent success.  The Coach will lead the Pulse on and off the court to the highest possible standard of playing performance and professionalism, enhancing our brand and place in our community. Netball Central Zone is always looking to consistently improve so will support and develop the successful candidate to ensure continued growth across all areas.

We are looking for an experienced elite level coach with strong leadership skills, who is tactically astute, with a sound knowledge of the technical aspects of the game and a proven track record of success in preparing elite players for high level competition.   The successful applicant will also be experienced in planning, developing and implementing a programme and demonstrate a strong understanding of all the component parts of a high-performance environment.   Other competencies include the ability to build an effective team, a real drive for results, the ability to understand people’s drivers and motivate them, remaining composed under stress and being a trusted member of the netball community.

Ideally applicants will have either coached at international level (either at Under 21 level or senior) and/or ANZ Championship/ Premiership level.
